For our prime client in the Automotive sector we are looking for an Electromagnetic Design Engineer The candidate will support the development of next generation of e-machine. The resource will work in the R&, D department in Bologna, inside the Electric Powertrain office, reporting directly to electric design responsible. Finite-element electro-magnetic simulations of electric motors Lumped-parameters thermal analysis of electric motors Losses estimation Response to customers’ RFQs with an electric motor design compliant with targets of performance and cost and customer boundary conditions with particular regard to laminations, insultation, resins, permanent magnets and winding topology Correlation of simulation with measurements Definition of electric sub-component specifications and liaisons with suppliers REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION University degree in Electrical Engineering , a PhD is considered a plus LANGUAGES: Proficient in English, Italian is considered a plus EXPERIENCES At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with focus on machines FEM electromagnetic analysis 2D and 3D and experience on lumped-parameter thermal simulations Experience in an international and multi-cultural environment is considered a plus OTHER INFORMATION &, SPECIFIC SKILLS Deep knowledge of electric machines working principles and main design constraints Deep knowledge of electrical drives theory Advanced knowledge of electric machine key materials and construction Proficient knowledge of Altair FLUX and Hyperstudy Proficient knowledge of MotorCad Good knowledge of Matlab &, Simulink Flexible and proactive problem-solving attitude Outstanding communication skills in a multi-cultural environment Capability to work in a distributed team Dynamic and continuously looking for improvements Strong drive to deliver vetrinabakeca
