Functieomschrijving Randstad Italia Inhouse Services is currently recruiting a Space Systems Modelling Simulation Engineer, for an aerospace client based in Rome. Responsabilit The postholder will be responsible for: Contribute to analyses and definition of requirements and architectures for data/signal processing for on board and on ground applications. Contribute to design and building up of HW/SW solutions in particular in the field of RF analytics for space environment Monitoring and space situational awareness applications. Contribute to definition, building up, verification and testing of suitable modeling and simulation tools. Contribute to test planning and execution in the laboratory Contributing to technology development roadmaps and space programmes. Functie-eisen Also required is knowledge in the following areas: Programming with various types of hardware devices, using low-level languages, such as assembly or VHDL is preferable. Basic knowledge of system engineering processes: User requirements analysis and assessment, system requirements definition, systems architecting, design and verification and validation. Good knowledge of operating systems . Proficient in at least one high-level programming language, such as C, C++, Python or MATLAB. Solid understanding of the mathematical foundations of signal processing, such as linear algebra, calculus, complex analysis, probability and statistics. Familiar with operations and properties of signals, such as convolution, Fourier transform, sampling, filtering, modulation and quantization. Able to design and implement algorithms through modeling and simulation tools. Requirements: Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent. Bachelor Degree in Electronic, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
